Windsor McGilvray is a professional touring drummer and performance coach based in the UK.

He currently performs internationally with Wishbone Ash and Hugh Cornwell, and has also worked with artists including Dr. John Cooper Clarke and Fish—as well as supporting Blondie on tour and appearing on stage with The Undertones.

His playing has taken him from the Royal Albert Hall to international stages across Europe and beyond, including appearances on major broadcast platforms and performances for high-profile audiences.

Alongside his work as a musician, Windsor spent over two decades teaching at the Academy of Contemporary Music, where he was awarded Outstanding Student of the Year and later became one of the longest-serving tutors.

Beyond music, Windsor’s work has evolved into helping people perform at their best—without needing to feel perfect first.

Drawing on over a decade of deep study in the Three Principles understanding, combined with real-world performance experience under pressure, he now works with individuals who want clarity, confidence, and freedom from overthinking.

His approach is simple and direct:

You don’t need to fix your mind to perform at a high level.
You just need to stop treating your thinking like it’s in charge.

Through his coaching and content, Windsor helps people:

  • perform under pressure

  • move beyond overthinking

  • access clarity and flow more consistently

  • create meaningful results in life and work

He is also the host of the Groove Guru Podcast, where he explores performance, mindset, and what it really takes to thrive—both in music and in life.

Windsor continues to perform, teach, and coach—bringing together elite-level musicianship and a deep understanding of the mind to help others unlock their potential.
